Eastern Missouri town puts gravesites online

PACIFIC, Mo. -- It's gotten a lot easier to search for cemetery lots in Pacific.

The town south of St. Louis now has a link on its Web site allowing users to look up lots and get directions to them in two of Pacific's cemeteries.

Mayor Herb Adams said a request for the service came from a funeral home which sometimes struggled to help people look up the graves of loved ones.

For now, the Web site links to grave sites in the city-owned City Cemetery and Resurrection Hill Cemetery. Officials said two private cemeteries could be added in the future.
