An early morning rollover accident near Jackson left a Scott City woman with moderate injuries.

Morgan N. Campbell, 21, of Scott City was driving northbound on Route D four miles north of Jackson at around 3:04 a.m. when her 2005 Pontiac failed to negotiate a curve, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The vehicle then ran off the right side of the roadway, over corrected, ran off the left side of the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned.

Campbell was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, the highway patrol said. She was taken by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau for treatment.
