Linda Kester, 60, of Jackson died Saturday, July 25, 2009, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Sept. 5, 1948, in Cape Girardeau to Leroy and Euvela Kraust Niswonger. She and James Kester were married Thursday, April 27, 1967, in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death Sept. 30, 1999.
She was a member of Christ Church of the Heartland. She was a past member of the 4-H Club, where she met her husband.
Survivors two sons, Greg Kester (Amy) of Festus, Mo., and Mitchell Kester (Mamie) of Jackson; a daughter, Sheila Hahn (Gordon) of Advance, Mo.; four brothers, Dan Niswonger, Poplar Bluff, Mo., Roger Niswonger and Alan Niswonger, both of Jackson, and Ron Niswonger of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Lisa Brown of Jackson; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Zack Strong officiating.
Burial will follow at Hobbs Chapel Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
