Jess Bolen moved to 1,000 games over .500 during his 43-year Plaza Tire Capahas managerial career with Tuesday's 14-3 victory against Fairview Heights, Ill.

Bolen moved his record to 1,358-358.

The team signed the game ball and presented it to Bolen after the win.

"It just shows you've been around a long time," Bolen said.

The Capahas got off to a hot start Tuesday with six runs in the first inning. They tacked on four in the third and two in the fifth to cruise to the win.

Brad LaBruyere earned the win with five strong innings. He struck out 11 and didn't walk a batter.

John Amschler went 4 for 4 with two RBIs, while Drew Pixley collected three hits. Denver Stuckey, Matt Wagner, Sean Bard and Daryl Graham each had two hits in the win.

Garrett Stevens knocked in three runs despite going 0 for 2. Josh Eftink also had three RBIs.

The Capahas (20-10) thought they wrapped up their home schedule, but have added another home date. The team will host a team from St. Louis at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Capaha Field.
