9/11 remembrance events planned today in Cape, Jackson

Events to remember those who died in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks are planned for today.

* At 9 a.m., a prayer and presentation of the American flag will take place in Saint Francis Medical Center's healing garden. Sponsored by the hospital and its Mission Integration Committee, the program will feature local leaders and area clergy.

* At noon, Cry-Out America will hold a time of prayer outside the Cape Girardeau County courthouse in Jackson.
