Registration for Junior Road Runners on Sunday

The Cape Road Runners will have a registration session on Sunday for its spring Junior Road Runners Track Program. Registration will take place from noon to 2 p.m. at the Southeast Missouri State University Recreation Center.

The program is for boys and girls in kindergarten through sixth grade. The program will start in March and end in May.

The Junior Road Runners offer children with an interest in track to compete against other area teams. The program teaches the techniques of running, how to prevent injury through proper warm-ups and stretching, and the overall importance of a healthy lifestyle.

A second registration day will take place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on March 12 at Healthpoint Fitness.

Pre-registration cost is $25. Registration after March 12 is $30.
