Southeast Missouri State's Molly Davis has been named the Ohio Valley Conference's defensive player of the week for volleyball for the second straight week.

The senior libero had 59 digs in two matches last week as she extended her streak of matches with double-figure digs to 31.

Davis, Southeast's career record-holder for digs, had 32 in Friday's win at Tennessee Tech and 27 in Saturday's loss at Jacksonville State.

Davis ranks third nationally in digs with 5.9 per set. As a team, Southeast leads the nation in digs per set with 18.6.

The Redhawks, 4-7 overall and 1-1 in OVC play, visit Tennessee-Martin (6-5, 1-1) tonight.

Southeast opens its home schedule with two conference matches, against Austin Peay at 7 p.m. Friday and Tennessee State at 2 p.m. Saturday.
