Rust Communications co-president named to board

Jon Rust, co-president of Rust Communications and publisher of the Southeast Missourian, was named second vice-chairman of the 2010 Suburban Newspapers of America board of directors. He joins 14 other officers and directors on the board that serves the needs of more than 2,000 suburban and community newspapers in North America through leadership, education, promotion, research and the advancement of high standards.

Cottonwood Treatment Center names employee of the year

Cottonwood Residential Treatment Center recognized Kim Pobst of Oran, Mo., as its 2009 Employee of the Year during the center's annual Employee Relations Day. Pobst has been the facility's personnel analyst since 2005 and worked as a Cottage supervisor for many years. She has worked at Cottonwood for more than 20 years. Cottonwood is a department of mental health facility on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University that provides residential treatment to children and youth who have emotional and behavioral problems.

Real estate company hires Prost as sales associate

Ryan Prost has joined SOTO Property Management as a sales associate. Prost's focus will be on building the client base of real estate investors for the firm. He received his real estate license in July.

Seabaugh receives state real estate appraiser certification

Mike Seabaugh of Ahrens Appraisal Service has received the state certification as a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser. Seabaugh has been employed at Ahrens Appraisal Service since 2003 and has been a state Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser since 2005. He is now certified to appraise commercial and residential real estate.
