Paul Wayne Menz

PERKINS, Mo. -- Paul Wayne Menz, 56, of Perkins died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Aug. 10, 1953, at Kankakee, Ill., son of Paul Allen and Imogene Howell Menz. He married JoAnn Freeman on June 15, 1972. She survives.

Paul was retired from a dairy farm in Dutchtown. He was a member of the Advance, Mo., Eagles.

Survivors include two sons, Terry Wayne (Cassandra "Sam") Menz and Ronnie Freeman of Paragould, Ark.; stepmother, Kay Menz of Perkins; five grandchildren, Alyssa and Abby Menz, Amber, Jessie and Larry Freeman; and a great-grandson, Robert Freeman.

Also a brother, David Menz of Kansas City, Mo.; six sisters, Patricia Brown of Perkins, Paula Reyna of Kansas City, Janie Hinkle of Gorham, Ill., Ladonna Menz of Marble Hill, Mo., Sherry Shipley of Ware, Ill., and Tyressa Menz of Cairo, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Allen Wayne Menz; and a brother, Allen Ray Menz.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Sunday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, Mo.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. Robert Lee Menz officiating. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery in Perkins.
