Irene Carr ORAN, Mo. -- Irene Elizabeth Carr, 87, of Oran passed away Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born Dec. 14, 1921, at Malden, Mo., to the late Aaron Pearce and Rilla May Thompson Wagoner. Irene married Chester "Chet" Carr on Sept. 21, 1945, at Fredericktown, Mo. ORAN, Mo. -- Irene Elizabeth Carr, 87, of Oran passed away Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Dec. 14, 1921, at Malden, Mo., to the late Aaron Pearce and Rilla May Thompson Wagoner.

Irene married Chester "Chet" Carr on Sept. 21, 1945, at Fredericktown, Mo. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oran.

Survivors include her husband "Chet" of Oran; one son, Ronald (Donna Raye) Carr of Oran; one daughter, Donna Jean (Dennis) Albee of Oran; one granddaughter, Teresa May (Chad) Albee-Clevenger of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; one great-grandson, Clay David Clevenger of Excelsior Springs; and one brother, Elmer Wagoner of Jackson.

Four brothers also preceded her in death.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.

Services for Irene will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel in Oran, with the Rev. Ed Carter officiating. Burial will be at Friend Cemetery in Oran.
