In its 110th season, Bucknell finally won its NCAA tournament game. And what a victory it was.

Chris McNaughton banked in a hook shot over Wayne Simien with 10.5 seconds left, then Simien missed an open 15-foot jumper at the buzzer, giving the 14th-seeded Bison a stunning 64-63 victory over third-seeded Kansas on Friday night in Oklahoma City to shake up the Syracuse Regional.

Bucknell (23-9) ended Kansas' 15-year streak of first-round tournament wins and a streak of 21 tourney-opening wins in a row dating back to 1978.

Florida 67, Ohio 62

Florida blew a 20-point lead, but Anthony Roberson converted a three-point play with 42.3 seconds left to help the Gators advance.

Fourth-seeded Florida (24-7) hung on in Nashville, Tenn., after blowing a 55-35 lead.

Villanova 55, New Mexico 47

Kyle Lowry made two sets of free throws in the final 1:38, then came up with a clutch steal to help Villanova hold off New Mexico in Nashville, Tenn.

Fifth-seeded Villanova (23-7) moves on to face Florida on Sunday.

Connecticut 77, Central Florida 71

Charlie Villanueva scored 22 points for the defending national champion Huskies, who opened a 19-point lead but had to hold on to win in Worcester, Mass.

UConn (23-7) will play North Carolina State on Sunday in the second round.

N.C. State 75, Charlotte 63

Julius Hodge came up with 19 points, nine assists and seven rebounds to lead the 10th-seeded Wolfpack (20-13) in Charlotte, N.C.

North Carolina 96, Oakland 68

Freshman Marvin Williams scored 20 points and Sean May added 19 in the top-seeded Tar Heels' rout in Charlotte, N.C.

Rashad McCants added 16 points for the Tar Heels (28-4), who advanced to Sunday's second round battle with Iowa State.

Iowa State 64, Minnesota 53

The Cyclones used a variety of pressure defenses to pull out the victory in the Syracuse Regional.

Iowa State (19-11) held Minnesota to 33 percent shooting in a game played in Charlotte, N.C.

Wisconsin 57, N. Iowa 52

Kammron Taylor scored 16 points in a reserve role, including a jumper and four free throws in the final minute, to help Wisconsin hold off Northern Iowa in Oklahoma City.

AUSTIN REGIONAL

Vermont 60, Syracuse 57

Germain Mopa Njila and T.J. Sorrentine hit consecutive 3-pointers in a 48-second span of overtime, and the 13th-seeded Catamounts upset the Big East champions.

Vermont (25-6) advanced to play either Michigan State in the second round of the Austin Regional.

Michigan State 89, Old Dominion 81

The Spartans (23-6) rallied from a second-half deficit to avoid upset in Worcester, Mass.

Duke 57, Delaware State 46

Shelden Williams had 14 points and 11 rebounds to lead the top-seeded Blue Devils (26-5) to a victory in Charlotte, N.C.

In 21 NCAA tournaments, coach Mike Krzyzewski is 65-17, tying Dean Smith's total for the most career victories.

Miss. St. 93, Stanford 70

Winsome Frazier made six 3-pointers and scored 20 points Friday night to lead the Bulldogs to a win in Charlotte, N.C. The ninth-seeded Bulldogs play Duke on Sunday.

CHICAGO Regional

OKLAHOMA ST. 63, SE LOUISIANA 50

JamesOn Curry had two assists and a free throw to lift the Cowboys (25-6).

Southern Illinois 65, Saint Mary's 56

Stetson Hairston broke a late tie with three free throws, then followed with a 3-pointer, and Darren Brooks drove for the next two baskets to push Southern Illinois into the next round.

Southern Illinois (27-7) advanced to the second round for the first time since 2002. Next for seventh-seeded SIU is second-seeded Oklahoma State.

Hairston led SIU with 13 points.

Albuquerque Regional

LOUISVILLE 68, LA.-LAFAYETTE 62

Francisco Garcia went 7-for-7 from the foul line in the last 2 minutes and finished with 27 points to help fourth-seeded Louisville advance with a win in Nashville, Tenn.

Georgia Tech 80, George Washington 68

The Yellow Jackets (20-11) advanced to play Louisville in the second round Sunday. Jarrett Jack scored 20 points for the No. 5 seed Georgia Tech.
