Jessie Young

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Jessie B. Young, 69, of Sikeston died Saturday, March 19, 2005, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston.

She was born July 7, 1935, in Portageville, Mo., daughter of John Francis and Marillaun Maloney Brown. She and Adrian Earl Young were married July 13, 1953, at Portageville. He died Nov. 29, 2004.

She was an LPN for 30 years and had worked for Dr. Grinny Ho in Sikeston for 20 years and also at Missouri Delta Medical Center. She was a member of Murray Lane Baptist Church in Sikeston.

Survivors include a son, Jim Young of Matthews, Mo.; two daughters, Theresa Vaughn of Terre Haute, Ind., Lynda Young of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Billy Brown of Dexter, Mo.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kelley Grubbs officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston.
