I-55 repairs will reduce lanes for two days

Drivers using Interstate 55 Monday and Tuesday in Cape Girardeau and Scott counties will encounter some lane restrictions. The Missouri Department of Transportation will send crews for pavement repairs, limiting northbound and southbound traffic to a single lane. The work will begin at 7 a.m. Monday and conclude at 4 p.m. Tuesday. The first section to receive work will be between Highway 74 in Cape Girardeau County and Highway 77 in Scott County. A second section will be worked on from Route AB to Highway 74 in Cape Girardeau County. Motorists are asked to use caution in the area.
