POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- Anna Mae Riggins, 85, of Poplar Bluff died Sunday, April 3, 2005, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. She was born Oct. 21, 1919, in Poplar Bluff, daughter of John and Edith Potillo Sisney. She and Roy V. Riggins were married Dec. 5, 1942, in Poplar Bluff. He died Dec. 21, 2004...

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- Anna Mae Riggins, 85, of Poplar Bluff died Sunday, April 3, 2005, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 21, 1919, in Poplar Bluff, daughter of John and Edith Potillo Sisney. She and Roy V. Riggins were married Dec. 5, 1942, in Poplar Bluff. He died Dec. 21, 2004.

Riggins had been a salesclerk at Ben Franklin Department Store and Bonnie's Hallmark Store in Poplar Bluff. She was a member of First Baptist Church and sang in the senior choir, and was a member of Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include a daughter, Cheryl Tolson of Wichita, Kan.; a son, Gary Riggins of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Elsie Lynch and Jackie Roach of Poplar Bluff; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.

The funeral was held Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff, with the Rev. Robert Edwards officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery.
