Gary McDowell

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Gary Russell McDowell, 58, of Marble Hill died Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at Elder Care.

He was born Aug. 14, 1946, in San Francisco, Calif., son of Jack Francis and Margaret Ann Burkett McDowell.

McDowell was a mechanic 32 years with the U.S. Postal Service, retiring in 2001. He was a member of Orange County Temple in Orange County, Calif.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1967.

Survivors include three sons, Shaune McDowell of Brooklyn, N.Y., twins Kasey and Cody McDowell of Glenallen, Mo.; his father of Orange County; and his mother, Margaret Janes of Glenallen.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date at the McDowell home.

Liley Funeral Home at Marble Hill is in charge of arrangements.
