A Cape Girardeau traffic stop Thursday led to the arrest of two Chaffee, Mo., residents on methamphetamine charges, the SEMO Drug Task Force reported in a news release Friday.

A Cape Girardeau traffic stop Thursday led to the arrest of two Chaffee, Mo., residents on methamphetamine charges, the SEMO Drug Task Force reported in a news release Friday. Christell Myers, 38, was initially arrested on a warrant for drug violations during a traffic stop by Cape Girardeau police, according to the news release. Another person in the car, Manuel Lopez Flores, was also detained for immigration violations. When officers searched Flores' home, they found about 5 ounces of "ice" methamphetamine and $7,000 in cash, according to the news release. Myers was charged with possession of methamphetamine precursors with intent to manufacture the drug. Myers' bond was set a $10,000. Flores was charged with second-degree drug trafficking. His bond was set at $100,000. Both were charged in Scott County.
