White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said Monday the speech would be broadcast live on national television and streamed on the White House website. It will be Obama's first State of the Union address.

Obama has been hoping to sign a health care overhaul bill into law in time for the speech.

The speech Obama delivered last year, just weeks after taking office, technically is not considered a State of the Union address.
