Herbert Stanley Alter, 67, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Jan. 25, 2010, at Maple Crest Manor. He served in the U.S. Army. There is no visitation. A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo., with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Military rites will be conducted by Missouri Honor Team...
