OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Marion "Spud" DeWeese, 73, of East Peoria, Ill., died Thursday, April 14, 2005, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, Ill. He was born March 23, 1932, in Blandville, Ky., son of Chester B. and Elsie May Rollins DeWeese. DeWeese was formerly of Olive Branch. OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Marion "Spud" DeWeese, 73, of East Peoria, Ill., died Thursday, April 14, 2005, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, Ill.

He was born March 23, 1932, in Blandville, Ky., son of Chester B. and Elsie May Rollins DeWeese.

DeWeese was formerly of Olive Branch. He retired as a supply clerk at St. Francis Hospital in Peoria, Ill.

Survivors include five sisters, Dorothy Vaughn, Mary Coleson, Shirley Sams and Joyce Bigham of Olive Branch, JoAnn Ritter of New Athens, Ill.; three brothers, Lester DeWeese of Granite City, Ill., Charles DeWeese of Paducah, Ky., and James DeWeese of East Peoria.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Ill., until time of service.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery.
