Charles A. Winder, 66, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010, at his home.

He was born Aug. 31, 1943, in Cape Girardeau, son of Robert William and Nettie May Niswonger Winder. He and Charlotte A. Herbig were married July 12, 1975, in Roscoe, Ill.

Charles was a truck driver 15 years with Delta Express. He attended Cape County Cowboy Church.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte A. Winder of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Paul (Joyce) Winder of Crystal City, Mo.; two sisters, Patsy (Charles) Green of Advance, Mo., Peggy Niswonger of Delta; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a stepson, Daniel; three brothers, Earl, Robert and Jim Winder.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Matthews officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Southeast Hospice.
