A 21-year-old Oak Ridge woman was injured Tuesday after her Pontiac Sunfire rear-ended an Asplundh Construction service truck on North Kingshighway near Boulder Crest Drive. The accident occurred just before 1 p.m.

A 21-year-old Oak Ridge woman was injured Tuesday after her Pontiac Sunfire rear-ended an Asplundh Construction service truck on North Kingshighway near Boulder Crest Drive.

The accident occurred just before 1 p.m.

The driver of the Pontiac, Mary A. Durand, suffered a serious injury when her head hit the windshield, said an officer on the scene of the crash. She was taken by ambulance to a hospital.

Her car's front end was severely damaged.

The driver of the service truck was not injured.
