The Advance baseball team improved to 11-0 Wednesday with an 8-3 road victory at Bell City. The Hornets led 4-3 after six innings but scored four in the top of the seventh to pull away. Jeremy Limbaugh went 3-for-5 at the plate, including his seventh home run, to lead Advance's 12-hit attack. Trenton Moses went 2-for-2 with his fifth home run and a triple, and Rusty Hendrix added three hits for the Hornets...

The Advance baseball team improved to 11-0 Wednesday with an 8-3 road victory at Bell City.

The Hornets led 4-3 after six innings but scored four in the top of the seventh to pull away.

Jeremy Limbaugh went 3-for-5 at the plate, including his seventh home run, to lead Advance's 12-hit attack. Trenton Moses went 2-for-2 with his fifth home run and a triple, and Rusty Hendrix added three hits for the Hornets.

For Bell City, Blaine Stewart went 3-for-4, and Clay Dover added two hits.

Daryl Wade won his third game on the mound, while Cody Bailey took the loss.

Leopold swept a doubleheader from Zalma at home.

Leopold pitchers Matt Stoverink and Eric Seiler teamed up for a no-hitter in the first game. Stoverink pitched three innings, and Seiler pitched the last two.

The second game lasted only four innings, as Leopold scored 14 runs on nine hits.

Victor Vandeven, Seiler and Tyler Clubb had two hits apiece for the Wildcats (7-5).

Russell Carroll pitched four shutout innings to get the win. He allowed two hits and struck out seven.

Kendall Deason threw three innings of relief, allowing one unearned run.

Kelly was led in hitting by Carroll's three hits, including a triple an an RBI. Caleb Daughhetee went 2-for-5 with two RBIs and an inside-the-park home run. Deason also had two hits and an RBI.
