SIKESTON, Mo. -- Officers with the Sikeston Department of Public Safety are searching for a suspect in connection with a robbery at a Sikeston business Wednesday night, the Standard Democrat reported. At 8:18 p.m., the department received a call regarding a robbery at Papa Murphy's, 331 N. Main St. A man in a black hooded sweat shirt demanded cash, and the worker handed over a bank bag with an undisclosed amount of cash before the suspect fled the scene and ran south of the building. No weapon was displayed, but the man had his hand in his pocket, leading the worker to believe he may have had a gun. Anyone with any information regarding the robbery is asked to call the department at 573-471-4711 or the CrimeStoppers hot line at 573-471-1500.
