DEXTER, Mo. -- A search warrant executed Thursday at the home of a Stoddard County juvenile who allegedly threatened the lives of 29 fellow Puxico High School students turned up a list of names and several firearms.
According to a release from the Stoddard County Sheriff's Department, a request for a search warrant was made on behalf of the Stoddard County Juvenile Office by assistant prosecuting attorney Rance Butler.
The search warrant was granted by Judge Joe Satterfield and executed by the Stoddard County Sheriff's Department.
The search warrant sought computers and related equipment; a list of names of potential victims who attend school with the juvenile; and any long guns including the one the juvenile was pictured with on Facebook.
Seized in the search were a laptop computer, sketch pads and loose papers that contained a list of names of people the juvenile was allegedly going to kill and several firearms, one of which matched the description of the rifle being held by the juvenile in the Facebook photo.
The story surfaced last week when the parent of another Puxico student called a school administrator and said a female student had made the threat. Authorities learned the girl not only posted a photo of herself holding a high-power rifle on Facebook but had also solicited the help of fellow students in orchestrating her plan.
Both school and law enforcement officials have said they believe the threat was viable.
The girl allegedly planned to fire a gun from the rooftop of Puxico High School on her birthday in March, and it was confirmed the girl threatened to take the lives of 29 students on that day. Her plan involved convincing other students to activate the school's fire alarm system as she retreated to the school roof to shoot students as they exited the building.
She has been charged with "communicating a threat to cause an incident condition involving danger to life."
