Alvin Wayne Robinett Sr., 71, of Oriole passed away Monday, March 1, 2010, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, following a long battle with numerous health complications.

He was born April 1, 1938, in Sikeston, Mo., to Arthur L. and Allie M. Jobe Robinett.

He was a technician 27 years at Procter & Gamble, retiring in 1995.

Wayne had a passion for playing pool, operating his backhoe and collecting Ford automobiles.

He will be greatly missed by his son and daughter-in-law, Alvin Wayne and Bonney Robinett Jr. of Oriole; a sister, Leatha Woodrift of Bloomfield, Mo.; special friend, Donna Farrow of Oriole; best friend, Frank Prince of Millersville; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers and three sisters.

Arrangements are by McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

At his request, there will be no visitation or service.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association.
