JEFFERSON CITY -- Gov. Matt Blunt has appointed former Jefferson City mayor Duane Schreimann to the Coordinating Board for Higher Education. Blunt's office announced the appointment Monday; it is subject to Senate confirmation. Schreimann practices law at the same firm as Andrew Blunt, the governor's brother. He has legal experience in insurance and real estate issues. He would replace Robert Langdon, who resigned from the board that oversees colleges and universities. Schreimann's term would end in June 2008.
