The Perryville boys track team finished first out of nine teams Thursday in the Jefferson County Conference track and field meet at Festus High School. The Pirates tallied 186 points Jesse Kueker won the 1,600-meter run and was part of both the winning 1,600 relay and 3,200 relay teams...

The Perryville boys track team finished first out of nine teams Thursday in the Jefferson County Conference track and field meet at Festus High School.

The Pirates tallied 186 points

Jesse Kueker won the 1,600-meter run and was part of both the winning 1,600 relay and 3,200 relay teams.

John Lohmann also was part of the two first-place relay teams.

On the girls side, Perryville finished fourth with 102 points.

The Pirates had no winners, but Brittney Castleberry finished second in the 100 and Liz Martin placed second in the 800.

Perryville's JV boys team won by two points over Hillsboro. Ryan Schilling won the triple jump at 40 feet, 6 inches.

BASEBALL Notre Dame 12, South Pemiscot 4

Notre Dame slammed 15 hits on South Pemiscot and improved to 12-7 with a home win.

Shane Menz went 4-for-4 to lead the Bulldogs. Aaron Jenkins and Blake Essner had three hits apiece, and Jeremy Brinkmeyer and John Eric Klein each added two hits.

Kirk Boeller struck out six batters and picked up a complete-game win on the mound.

Paul Bucher got the win in 1 2/3 innings of relief.

Adam Crowe allowed just two hits to pick up his first win on the mound.

Crowe struck out six and walked just one in a road win for the Red Devils (5-10). Chris Hanback, Jeff Daugherty and Augi Orr each had two hits for Chaffee. Hanback added two RBIs.

Woodland led 3-1 after Anthony Grojean's two-run home run in the bottom of the second inning, but unbeaten Advance scored 13 runs in the top of the third and won in five innings.

Advance (14-0) had 18 hits, including four from Jeremy Limbaugh. Daryl Wade and Rusty Hendricks each added three hits.

Trenton Moses won his fifth game on the mound, while Willie Piatt suffered the loss.

For Kelly (7-8, 1-4 SEMO), pitchers Russell Carroll and Danny Wilson combined to walk just three, and the defense behind them committed three errors.

"It didn't matter who they put in there,"Kelly coach Cory Johnson said, "we were leaving pitches over the plate for them to drive and they found the holes."

GIRLS SOCCER Perryville 4, De Soto 3

De Soto led 1-0 early just 7 minutes into the game, but the Pirates rattled off four straight goals and won on the road.

Chelsey Marr scored twice for Perryville (8-9) near the end of the first half. Chris Schremp and Amber Hacker added goals in the second half.

Jocelyn Moll, Sasha Brickhouse, Jodi Amschler and Schremp had the assists.

Chastity Marr made nine saves in goal for Perryville.

St. Louis Notre Dame 3, Notre Dame 0

Notre Dame fell to 9-8-2 with a road loss.

Central ended its dual meet season at 13-1-1 with a home loss at the Cape Girardeau Country Club.

Poplar Bluff's Tyler Hillis was medalist with a 1-under-par 69.

Kirk Lohmann led the Tigers with a 72. Zach Kluesner shot a 75, Blake Driskell shot a 78 and Robert Kaverman and Jack Connell tied at 80.
