The Central boys track and field team topped the field at the SEMO Conference North Division meet Friday at Sikeston.

Central finished with 98 points, followed by Jackson with 65.

John Kipper won both the 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs for the Tigers, and the foursome of Hykeem Hammonds, Tyler Terry, Anwar Glenn and Allen Walker won both the 800 and 400 relays.

Brad Crader won the discus and Andy Glass won the shot put for Jackson's only wins.

Jackson's Heather Hileman won the 100 and 300 hurdles and was second in the high jump to help the Indians capture the girls' team title 101-94 over Central.

Central's Holly Shaffer won the 800- and 1,600-meter runs and was a part of Central's winning 3,200 relay team.

SEMO Central meet

Notre Dame's boys and girls teams finished second out of six teams in the SEMO Conference Central Division meet at Dexter.

The boys finished with 143 points, behind New Madrid County Central's 182 1/4.

Matt Pfau won the 800 and was part of both the winning 1,600 and 3,200 relay teams. Greg Kanneberg won the 3,200 and helped the 3,200 relay team.

On the girls side, Notre Dame finished 50 points behind first-place Dexter.

Katie Daniel won the 100 hurdles, 300 hurdles and shot put for the Bulldogs.
