SIKESTON, Mo. -- Henrietta Ferrell, 91, of Sikeston died Thursday, March 18, 2010, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 9, 1918, in Blandville, Ky., daughter of Henry and Sarah Frances Byasee Steinbeck. She and Frank Ferrell were married Dec. 10, 1938. He died Jan. 7, 2007.

Ferrell was a licensed beautician and had owned and operated Ferrell-Taylor Beauty College on Greer Street in Sikeston. She was a member of First Baptist Church and in the 1950s was a pianist at Fellowship Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Sharon Ferrell and Steve and Frannie Ferrell, all of Sikeston; six grandchildren, Buzz, Nikki, Ty and Chase Ferrell, all of Sikeston, John Ferrell of Winchester, Ky., Lee Ferrell of Washington, D.C.; six great-grandchildren, Crystal, Jordi and J.V. Ferrell, Wyn Roberds, Connor Wallace and Sophie Ferrell.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Ponder Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Matthews, pastor of Cape County Cowboy Church, officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be grandchildren, Buzz, John, Lee, Nikki, Ty and Chase Ferrell.

Memorial donations may be given to Kenny Rogers Children's Center, 300 Floyd Avenue, Sikeston, MO 63801.
