The Jackson Police Department has issued a warrant for 42-year-old Julie S. Burns, of the Cape Girardeau and Jackson area, who is suspected of robbing Comfort Suites on Thursday.

Burns, also known to use the last name Lowe, is accused of assaulting a front-desk employee, stealing cash and a set of master keys belonging to the hotel at 2904 Old Orchard Road. Burns also allegedly told the hotel employee she was armed and threatened to shoot her.

She's charged with two counts of felony first-degree robbery.

The investigation into the Comfort Suites robbery also linked Burns to a robbery that occurred March 24 at an apartment complex in the 1900 block of Delwin Street in Cape Girardeau.

"She is currently at large and should be considered dangerous," said Lt. Rodney Barnes of the Jackson Police Department in a news release.
