All the area high school events reported Tuesday to the Southeast Missourian.

Senior Meghan Dohogne scored and added an assist to help lead the Notre Dame soccer team to a 3-2 victory over Perryville in the season opener for both teams.

The teams played to a 2-2 tie in the first half, but the host Bulldogs scored the game-winner in the second half Tuesday.

Brianne Sanders and Hali Rendleman also scored for Notre Dame.

Becca Hanquist and Emily Hanquist scored for the Pirates.

Allyson Bradshaw and Ashten Hesselrode collected assists for Notre Dame.

St. Vincent 6, Fredericktown 0

Allison Ernst stopped six shots to earn the shutout for the Indians, who improved to 3-0.

Abby Lappe and Liz Brueckner both scored twice, while Storm French added three assists.

Holly Cissell and Kayla Seabaugh also found the back of the net.

Brueckner, Emily Cissell and Courtney Heberlie each had one assist.

Saxony Lutheran 2, Kennett 1

Lauren Hecht and Katie Winter both scored a goal in the win.

Hecht and Sydney Rapp both recorded an assist.

Josh Overbey pounded a two-run walk-off homer to lead the Cubs to the home victory.

Starting pitcher Jarad Yates led Bell City (2-0) with eight strikeouts over five innings.

Jeff Long and Tim Long both doubled in the win.

Brett Thomas silenced the Panthers on the mound and provided some pop at the plate for the Blue Jays.

Thomas struck out 11 over 6 2/3 innings and went 2 for 3 with a double.

Lucas Rohde picked up the save in relief of Thomas. He also drove in Oak Ridge's first run with a single in the fifth.

Cody Kennedy struck out eight and didn't walk a batter in a losing effort.

The sophomore struck out five over four innings to pick up the win in relief and went 2 for 4 and knocked in a pair at the plate.

Zac Chasteen and Gabe Kielhofner also recorded an RBI for the Eagles (3-0).

The Crusaders used a six-run fourth inning to gain separation at home.

Spencer Sander went 3 for 4 with a double and five RBIs for Saxony Lutheran.

Clay Roth, Chad Bachmann and Ryan Sprandel each had a double.

Sam Breite recorded the win, while Matt Stueve had the save.

Matt Gooch and Joe Kinder both went 2 for 4 in the Bobcats' season opener.

Jackson's Tanner Werner and Central's Trent Weaver tied for medalist honors in a tri-meet at Cape Girardeau Country Club.

Werner and Weaver both shot a 39 on the par-35 course.

Jackson shot a 165 to edge Central by two strokes.

Collin Sprandel led the Crusaders with a 42.

The Chaffee girls captured the team title by two first-place finishes behind foreign exchange student Luisa Boschan, who won the Class 1 cross country state title in the fall.

Boschan won the 1,600 (5:30) and 800 (2:37).

The Red Devils also won the 800 relay (1:55.82) and 3,200 relay (15:14).

Scott City's Stephanie Essner won the 400 (1:01.84), while Kelly's Londyn Backfisch took first in the 200 (27.54) and second in the high jump (4-8).

Melanie Lacey won the 1,600 (5:59) and took second in the 3,200 (14:05) for the Rams.

Scott City took home the boys title behind a pair of firsts from Brandon Shemonia.

Shemonia took first in the 1,600 (4:43) and the 3,200 (10:21).

Alex Eichhorn won the discus (132-8) and was second in the shot put (42-11) for the Rams.

The Chaffee boys were sixth. Jordan Yahn won the 800 (2:07) and Chaffee won the 3,200 relay (8:56).

Cody Kern led Kelly with a third-place finish in the 1,600 (4:56).
