James N. Wiley Jr., 72, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, May 11, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

He was born May 15, 1932, in Cape Girardeau, son of James and Eugie Kinder Wiley Sr. He and Donna Lee Woodruff Spears were married Sept. 22, 1995, in Las Vegas, Nev.

Wiley had been a supervisor at Missouri Utilities. A musician many years, he was a member of Jim Wiley and the Rebels Band, and The Country Gentlemen Band that played at the Lutheran Home and Missouri Veterans Home. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Beth Zaha of Lone Grove, Okla., Lee Johnson of Paragould, Ark.; a stepdaughter, Rebecca Rick of West Frankfort, Ill.; a stepson, Brad Spears of Bell City, Mo.; a sister, Lois Smith of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and five stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two sisters.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Shawn Wasson and Cy Smith officiating. Burial will be in Hobbs Chapel Cemetery.
