Tickets are available for the Cape Girardeau Regional Air Festival when the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport will welcome the U.S. Navy Blue Angels on June 19 and 20.

Tickets for the two-day air show became available from the event's website Monday afternoon. Advance tickets for each day are $12 for adults, $7 for children 7 to 12 and free for younger children. Adult tickets at the gate are $15, $7 for ages 7 to 12 and free for children 6 and under. Visit www.capeairfestival.com for more information.

Tickets will be available for in-person purchases within the next few weeks. Organizers are checking into selling tickets at other locations but have not finalized the details.

Along with the Blue Angels, the Army Golden Knights parachute team and the Air Force A-10 Warthog East Demonstration Team will appear at the 2010 Cape Girardeau Regional Air Festival.

The air show typically takes 250 volunteers to run smoothly, said airport manager Bruce Loy.

"This year it's going to take a lot more than that," he said. "There's a lot to do and this show in particular has a lot more with the Blue Angels being here."

Loy said volunteers are needed to take tickets, work security, parking and the VIP tent, and be assigned to a performer. Each year they try to assign one person to each performer so that performer knows who to look to when they need anything.

The air show will also need help with marketing, accounting and pyrotechnics.

"If you've got people that have experience with that, fantastic," Loy said. "If you don't, we're not afraid to train."
