Cape city trash customers get new bins

Toter Inc. employees began delivering 96-gallon recycling bins and 64-gallon trash containers to residents Monday in Cape Girardeau. The city expects to be finished delivering the new bins to residents by the end of next week, Public Works Department director Tim Gramling said. Residents who ordered smaller 48-gallon bins will begin receiving them later this week. The switch to automated trash collections will begin May 3 and the city is asking residents not to use the new bins until then, Gramling said.
