The final regular season polls for the Missouri State High School Soccer Coaches Association and the Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association were released last week.

The Jackson girls soccer team slipped a spot to No. 14 in the MSHSCA Class 2 poll. The Indians (20-2) host No. 10 Francis Howell (21-3-1) at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the sectional round. Howell has been ranked in the Nos. 10 through 13 range through all four polls.

Nerinx Hall (25-0-1) remained No. 1. No. 2 Ursuline (22-1-2) plays No. 5 Incarnate Word (19-4-4) for the right to meet the Jackson-Howell winner in the May 28 quarterfinal.

Notre Dame (14-9-3) was among others receiving votes for the Class 1 top 10.

The Bulldogs' sectional opponent 7 p.m. Tuesday at Notre Dame is the state's top-ranked team, Festus St. Pius (20-1).

The state baseball poll released this week had Jackson at No. 5. The Indians host unranked Eureka at 5 p.m. Thursday.

Columbia Hickman is ranked No. 1.

Notre Dame was No. 7 in the final regular-season poll for Class 3. The Bulldogs lost last week to No. 10 Sikeston in the district final at Sikeston.

Advance was No. 4 in Class 1. They travel to unranked Holcomb on Wednesday in the sectional.
