ORAN, Mo. -- Lavina Wilkinson, 86, of Oran died Wednesday, May 25, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born March 22, 1919, in Kaiser, Ark., daughter of LeRoy and Lettie Wilkins Buell. She and Chester M. Wilkinson were married Dec. 21, 1940. He died July 21, 1986...

ORAN, Mo. -- Lavina Wilkinson, 86, of Oran died Wednesday, May 25, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born March 22, 1919, in Kaiser, Ark., daughter of LeRoy and Lettie Wilkins Buell. She and Chester M. Wilkinson were married Dec. 21, 1940. He died July 21, 1986.

Wilkinson was a member of Morley Baptist Church at Morley, Mo.

Survivors include a son, Dan Wilkinson of Moweaqua, Ill.; two daughters, Louanna Rhodes and Betty Borneman of Oran; a brother, Joe Buell of Oran; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran after 4 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Ed Carter officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley.
