SPRINGFIELD, Ill. -- Shawn McCray, 27, of Springfield died Friday, May 27, 2005, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield as the result of a car accident.

He was born April 22, 1978, in Springfield, son of Bruce W. and C. Diann Loos McCray. His parents were originally from Jackson and Cape Girardeau.

He worked as a construction supervisor in Springfield, Ill. He attended the Trinity Lutheran grade school and high school in Springfield.

Survivors include his mother of Springfield.

He was preceded in death by his father, maternal and paternal grandparents.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Sprigg St. Chapel.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel, with the Rev. Barry Pfanstiel officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery at Cape Girardeau.
