Basketball

* Southeast boys camps: The Southeast Missouri State men's basketball program will host boys basketball camps. A team camp for high school teams will take place June 18 and 19. Each squad will play a minimum of six games. Teams have the option to stay on campus. Cost is $350 per team, with a $150 deposit. An individual half-day camp will take place June 21 to 23. Players ages 4 through 7 will go from 8 a.m. to noon, while players ages 8 through 12 will go from 1 to 5 p.m. Cost is $90, with a $50 deposit. Info: (870) 219-1956, or mrwilliams1s@semo.edu

* Southeast girls camps: The Southeast Missouri State women's basketball program will host girls basketball camps. A skill camp for ages 6 through 18 will take place June 7 through 10 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost: $80, which includes lunch. A team camp for high school, JV, junior high and club teams will take place June 25 through 27. Each squad will play a minimum of four games plus a tournament. Cost: $300 per team for day campers (no meals or housing) or $75 per player for resident campers (all meals and housing). An elite camp for ages 12 through 18 will take place June 28 to 30. * Jackson camps: Jackson will host basketball camps at the Jackson High School. An individual skills camp will take place June 1 to 3. Players in kindergarten through second grade will go from 1 to 2:30 p.m., while players in grades 3 through 6 will go from 3 to 4:30 p.m. A second individual skills camp will take place Aug. 2 to 5. Players in grades kindergarten through 2 will go from 9 to 10:30 a.m., while players in grades 3 through 6 will go from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A shooting camp will take place June 7 to 10 from 1 to 4 p.m. Info: 204-0171.

* Saxony Lutheran camps: Saxony Lutheran will host boys basketball camps at the high school. A camp for boys entering grades 9 to 12 will be from 6 to 8 p.m. June 21 to 25. A camp for boys entering grades 4 to 6 will be from 3:30 to 5:15 p.m. June 28 to July 1. A camp for boys entering grades 7 and 8 will be from 6 to 8 p.m. June 28 to July 1. * Central boys camps: Central will host boys basketball camps June 15 to 17 at the high school. A camp for boys entering kindergarten to fourth grade will be from 9 to 11:30 a.m. A camp for boys entering grades 5 to 9 will be from 1 to 3:30 p.m. The camps will cover basic fundamentals of basketball. * Central girls camp: Central will host a girls basketball camp June 15 to 18 at the high school. It will run from 10 a.m. to noon. Cost: $40 per person, which includes a T-shirt.

Football

* Central camps: Central coach Rich Payne will host football camps for players entering grades 9 to 12 at the high school. There will be a camp from 5:30 to 8 p.m. June 7 to 10. There will be a camp from 5:30 to 8 p.m. July 19 to 23. There will be a camp from 5:30 to 8 p.m. July 26 to 30.

Golf

* Flag Day scramble: The Flag Day golf tournament, a benefit four-person scramble for the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau, will be played June 4 at Bent Creek Golf Course in Jackson. Tournament play begins at noon. Entry fee: $80 per person, $320 per team. Cost includes lunch, beverages and prizes. Info: 290-5459.

* Four-person scramble: The Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department will host the 17th annual four-person golf scramble July 10 at the Cape Jaycee Municipal Golf Course. The tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Cost: $160 per team and carts are $12 per person. Entry fee must be paid by 5 p.m. July 7. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Running

* Hershey's meet: The Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department will hold the 21st annual Hershey's Track and Field meet at 5 p.m. today at the Central Junior High track. Registration will run from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m. The meet is open to boys and girls ages 9 to 14 in Southeast Missouri and each participant may enter three events, with a maximum of two track events. Events offered will be the 50, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1,600 and 4x100 relay as well as a standing long jump and softball throw. Local winners advance to the state meet in Jefferson City, Mo. Soccer

* Central camps: Central coaches Liz Fleer and Dan Martin will host soccer camps at the high school. There will be a camp for players ages 5 to 13 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. July 19 to 22. Cost: $55, which includes T-shirt. Deadline: June 17. There will be a camp for players entering grades 9 to 12 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. July 26 to 29. Cost: $55, which includes T-shirt. Deadline: July 1.

Softball

* Central camps: Central coach Amy Blattel will host softball camps at the high school. There will be a camp for players entering grades 5 to 8 from 9 to 11 a.m. June 1 to 4. Cost: $35. There will be a camp for players entering grades 9 to 12 from 9 to 11 a.m. July 26 to 29. Cost: $35.

Swimming

* Central camps: Central coach Dayna Powell will host swimming camps at the Southeast Missouri State aquatics center. There will be a camp for swimmers entering grades 9 to 12 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 18 to 22. Cost: $50. There will be a camp for swimmers entering grades 4 to 8 from 2 to 4 p.m. July 18 to 22. Cost: $50.

Volleyball

* Sand leagues: The Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department will hold co-ed sand volleyball leagues at the Arena Park sand volleyball courts. The six-on-six league will be played Mondays and Thursdays, while the four-on-four league will be played Tuesdays. Play is scheduled to begin June 1. There will be a mandatory managers meeting at 6:30 p.m. May 20 at the Osage Community Centre. Registration deadline: May 20. Info: 339-6340.

* Jackson camps: Jackson coach Maile Gannon will hold a skill development camp at the junior high school. A camp for players entering grades 6 to 8 will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m. May 25 to 27.
