AmerenUE seeks natural gas rate hike
ST. LOUIS (AP) -- The St. Louis-based utility company AmerenUE is seeking a delivery rate increase for natural gas that would cost the average residential customer $7.25, or 9.8 percent, more per month. ST. LOUIS (AP) -- The St. Louis-based utility company AmerenUE is seeking a delivery rate increase for natural gas that would cost the average residential customer $7.25, or 9.8 percent, more per month.
The company filed the request Friday with the Missouri Public Service Commission, seeking an $11.9 million increase in natural gas delivery rates for its 127,000 Missouri customers.
AmerenUE says a decision by the PSC is expected no later than May 2011.

AmerenUE President and CEO Warner Baxter says the company has invested $54 million in gas system improvements since its last rate case in 2007.
