Glenda McCoy

Glenda M. McCoy, 76, of Randles died Monday, June 28, 2010, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Nov. 22, 1933, in St. Louis, to Earl and Lydia Abernathy Hamlyn. She and Robert McCoy Sr. were married May 28, 1949, in LeMay, Mo. He preceded her in death.

McCoy was a member of Delta Baptist Church.

Survivors include six sons, Robert and Gerald McCoy of Jackson, Glen McCoy of Randles, Danny McCoy of Zalma, Mo., Todd McCoy of Whitewater, Chuck McCoy of Chaffee, Mo.; four daughters, Kelly McCoy of Randles, Florence McCoy of Ontario, Ore., Kathy Gregory of Chattanooga, Tenn., Cindy Gaebler of Randles; a brother, Farris Hamlyn of High Ridge, Mo.; 20 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, two brothers, two sisters and two grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Eric Hodge officiating. Burial will be in Baker Cemetery in Marble Hill, Mo.
