Parker's campaign announced the endorsement in a story submitted Friday on semissourian.com.

The campaign said the Sikeston Tea Party cited Parker's stance as a "true conservative, Christian, pro-life Republican" who "stands for the principles of freedom that America was founded upon."

Parker faces incumbent Jo Ann Emerson in the primary. Parker's campaign has said that Emerson isn't conservative enough for the values held by people in the district.
