Caruthersville police were notified of the incident at 10:58 p.m. Friday, when the victim came to the Pemiscot County Sheriff's Office. CARUTHERSVILLE, Mo. -- A pizza delivery man was severely beaten while making a delivery Friday, the Sikeston Standard Democrat reported.

Caruthersville police were notified of the incident at 10:58 p.m. Friday, when the victim came to the Pemiscot County Sheriff's Office. The victim stated he was attempting to deliver a pizza in the 1100 block of East 19th Street, when at least two men beat and robbed him.

The victim was taken to Pemiscot Memorial Hospital's emergency room by officers for treatment of multiple lacerations to the head and face and for head trauma. The victim was later transferred to Elvis Presley Trauma Center in Memphis.
