Ruben M. Mueller of Frohna, Mo., died Aug. 13, 2010, at Saint Francis Medical Center Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was 91.

He was born May 5, 1919, in Frohna, son of the late Gottfried and Clara Vogel Mueller. He and Norma A. Hecht Mueller were married April 25, 1943. She survives in Frohna.

Other survivors include three sons and three daughters, Lynn R. (Bonnie) Mueller of Frohna, Faye L. (Gary) Truwe of Indianapolis, Lee W. (Phyllis) Mueller of Centennial, Colo., Gayle M. (Laurence) Rosen of Wildwood, Mo., Kirk H. (Kathleen) Mueller of St. Louis, Dawn E. (Craig) Tayon of Belleville, Ill.; 16 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Harold Mueller; and a sister, Myrta Schaefer.

Mr. Mueller was a farmer. He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of Concordia Lutheran Church where he was in the choir, a Sunday school teacher a member of the men's club and an elder. He was in the Frohna American Legion and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 6:30 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna.

The funeral service for Mr. Mueller will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Rod Benkendorf officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military graveside service provided by the VFW and the Delta Team.

Memorials are preferred to LCMS Foundation-Mueller Endowment Fund or Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna.
