* Approved a motion to set a public hearing for 7:30 p.m. Sept. 7 to consider a special-use permit request for gun and ammunition sales in a C-3 (Central Business) District, at 117 West Main St., as submitted by Hartle Family Investments LLC.

* Approved a motion to set a public hearing for 7:30 p.m. Sept. 7 to consider a special-use permit request for a tattoo shop in a C-2 (General Commercial) District, at 1335 Old Cape Road, as submitted by Doug and Gina Kaminsky.

* Approved a bill proposing an ordinance approving a special-use permit for a nightclub in a C-2 (General Commercial) District, at 2990 South Old Orchard Road, as submitted by Strack Equipment Inc.

* Approved an ordinance approving modifications to the special conditions regarding signs, under an existing special-use permit for a privately owned baseball park at 425 E. Deerwood Drive, as submitted by the Jackson Area Baseball Association.
