Goldie Emily Pickett, 93, of Advance, Mo., was born May 5, 1917, near Greenbrier, Mo., the daughter of James and Nellie Umfleet Ladd, and passed away Aug. 21, 2010, at the Advance Nursing Center.

Goldie was a homemaker. She was a charter member of Ladd Chapel Church.

Goldie and Lenvil Pickett were united in marriage Aug. 22, 1936, at Greenbrier. He preceded her in death July 19, 1995.

Survivors include a son, Jerry Pickett of Advance; a daughter, Willa Jean Cook of Ormond Beach, Fla.; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Donald and Kelly Pickett; five brothers; and four sisters.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Rudy Pittman officiating. Burial will follow at Baker Cemetery near Marble Hill, Mo.
