Donald Gross
Donald Eugene Gross, 65, of Scott City died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, at his home. He was born Feb. 28, 1945, in Cape Girardeau, son of Carl and Pansy "Laverne" Helderman Gross. He and Peggy Darlene Walker were married March 6, 1965. He served with the U.S. Army...Donald Eugene Gross, 65, of Scott City died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, at his home.
He was born Feb. 28, 1945, in Cape Girardeau, son of Carl and Pansy "Laverne" Helderman Gross. He and Peggy Darlene Walker were married March 6, 1965.
He served with the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Gross; a son, Gregory Scott (Kim) Gross of Scott City; two brothers, Charles L. Gross of Tamms, Ill., Carl M. Gross of Viburnum, Mo.; a sister, Mary Ann Pickering of Houston, Texas; two grandchildren, Michael William (Kandi) Gross and Gregory Keith Gross; two great-grandchildren, Kamerin Scott and Kole Michael Gross, all of Scott City; and a nephew, Michael Wayne Gross of Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Michael Gross.
Visitation will be Saturday from 9 a.m. to service time at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the chapel. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery with full military honors.
