SIKESTON, Mo. -- Work to replace the Route Z bridge over drainage ditch No. 4 in Scott County is expected to begin Sept. 13, weather permitting. The road will remain closed from Route DD to U.S. 61 during construction. Completion is anticipated in mid-October. Signs and warning devices will be in place, and motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area. Improvements to the bridge are part of the design-build portion of the Safe and Sound Bridge Improvement Program.
