All of the area high school events reported Monday to the Southeast Missourian.

The Oran volleyball team opened its season with a 2-0 victory over Charleston on Monday.

Amanda Young, Cheyanne King and Molly Cook all recorded two kills in the Eagles' 25-19, 25-14 road victory.

King added three digs and one solo block, while Young had three aces.

Addie Kielhofner recorded four assists in Oran's season-opening win.

Chelsea Pannier had eight kills and two blocks in the Tigers' season-opening loss at home.

Chelsey Brown added four kills for the Tigers (0-1).

The defending Class 3 state champions opened their season with a road win.

Brianne Sanders paced the Bulldogs by going 4 for 4, while Savanna Ayers went 2 for 3.

Katie Bond earned the win.
