HOLIDAY SHORES, Ill. -- Raymond C. Inman, 84, of Holiday Shores passed away Monday, Sept. 6, 2010, at his home. He was born Jan. 26, 1926, in St. Louis, son of Joseph and Veda P. Speer Inman. He was formerly employed at Bemis Bag Co. He was an industrial engineer at Crunden-Martin Manufacturing prior to his retirement. He attended Open Door Fellowship Church in Alton, Ill. HOLIDAY SHORES, Ill. -- Raymond C. Inman, 84, of Holiday Shores passed away Monday, Sept. 6, 2010, at his home.

He was born Jan. 26, 1926, in St. Louis, son of Joseph and Veda P. Speer Inman.

He was formerly employed at Bemis Bag Co. He was an industrial engineer at Crunden-Martin Manufacturing prior to his retirement. He attended Open Door Fellowship Church in Alton, Ill. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Carlene and Phillip Walker of Carlinville, Ill., Gail and Steven Lefler of Holiday Shores, Nancy Inman of Englewood, Colo.; a son, Rick Inman of Carpenter, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Kevin Inman.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until time of funeral at 7 p.m. today at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River, Ill. The Rev. A.J. Maggos and the Rev. Paul Maggos will officiate. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery in Marble Hill, Mo.

Memorials are suggested to Open Door Fellowship Church, 929 Milnor Ave. in Alton.
