An assist call by the Jackson Police Department led the arrest of three adults on drug charges Thursday.

According to a news release issued Friday, police assisted the Missouri Children's Division on a follow-up call in the 1200 block of Brandom Street in Jackson, where officers located drug paraphernalia in the home upon arrival. A search warrant was obtained and numerous items associated with the manufacture of methamphetamine, methamphetamine itself, marijuana, marijuana paraphernalia and pills requiring a prescription were discovered on the premises.

The adults were in custody pending filing of charges by the Cape Girardeau County Prosecuting Attorney's Office early Friday afternoon. Two children were removed from the residence.

Members of the Southeast Missouri Drug Task Force assisted with the operation.
